New intersite loan service in The Library

Recently the Library has launched a service that will allow our users to transfer items between sites on request so that they can then be borrowed from the location that is most convenient for them.
The Intersite Loan service is available to all students and staff of the university and applies to all one week and normal loan items. I feel it will be especially useful to Schools like Art & Design which have a presence on more than one campus.
Users will be able to request the transfer of items via a web form which can be found at the following location http://www.salford.ac.uk/library/services/borrowing#intersite-tab. A link to this form is also available in SOLAR, via the item’s record through the details tab – the link from this is “Transfer to your current location”.
We will aim to have items transferred between sites within 24 hours if the request is made before midday and by the following day after that. Once the item is at the user’s requested site it will be held on the reservation shelves so that it can be collected whenever we are open. We will send an email to the user’s student email to confirm that the request is waiting for pick-up.

Trial for new Business resource - ReporterLinker for Libraries

The Library has a trial for a new Business resource called ReporterLinker for Libraries

"ReportLinker for Libraries finds, filters and organizes the latest industry data published by over 200,000 trusted public sources, including government departments, universities, embassies, trade unions, investment agencies and many more. With daily updates, our easy-to-use search engine provides instant access to official data and statistics on 350 industries around the world — all in one convenient location".

All you need to do is go to www.reportlinker.com and you will automatically be redirected on the ReportLinker for Libraries platform.  The trial lasts for two weeks and we would love to have your feedback.  Please send any feedback to:   cass-library@salford.ac.uk.
Please note:  if you are accessing this resource from home you may need to set up web authentication.  For details on how to do this, please see the help guide at:  http://www.salford.ac.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/62729/Web-authentication-Apr12.pdf.
